Port Operations

Darwin Port (DP) requires that all officers, workers and other persons who are in attendance at a DP workplace have a duty of care to conduct themselves in a professional and safe manner and to ensure that their actions do not adversely affect others.

Darwin Port (DP) is committed to maximising value whilst delivering better performance for our customers through the effective management of our assets. This asset management policy provides a framework for the continual improvement of asset management practices through the application of formal asset management strategies, supported by systematic review and feedback processes.

Darwin Port Pilotage Pty Ltd (DPPP) is the designated pilotage services provider for the Port of Darwin. Darwin Port Operations Pty. Ltd. (DPO) is the designated Port Operator.

Darwin Port is responsible for the efficient operations and control of vessel traffic entering, transiting and departing the Port of Darwin.

Darwin Harbour Control provides a continuous traffic organisation service to monitor the movement of participating vessels within the Port of Darwin, to facilitate the safe and efficient passage of ships and to protect the environment and infrastructure of the port.
